Terms of Service
North Hills Nanny LLC Terms of Service
Last updated: October 28, 2026
These Terms of Service apply when you use North Hills Nanny LLC’s website or online booking platform to request or book childcare. By submitting a booking request or using our services, you agree to these terms.
1. About North Hills Nanny LLC
North Hills Nanny LLC (“North Hills Nanny,” “NHN,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) connects families with caregivers for childcare services in the Pittsburgh area. Services may include babysitting, temporary or on-call care, date-night care, newborn support, and childcare at weddings or other events.
2. Booking requests and caregiver availability
When you submit a request, it is sent to the North Hills Nanny caregiver team. A caregiver may accept the request if they are available. Submitting a request does not guarantee that a caregiver will be available or that care is confirmed. Your booking is confirmed only after a caregiver has accepted and you receive confirmation through the platform or directly from NHN.
Where available, you may request a specific caregiver. The request is subject to that caregiver’s availability and confirmation.
Please provide accurate information about the children, schedule, location, duties, and any medical, developmental, allergy, or safety needs. Contact us promptly if anything changes.
3. Event and wedding childcare
For straightforward event childcare, you may submit a booking request through the platform. Weddings or other events that require a detailed itinerary, coordination with a venue, or more in-depth planning may require a phone consultation before the booking is confirmed. Joyce Shannon, owner of North Hills Nanny LLC, will help coordinate the caregiver match for these bookings.
Families are responsible for providing accurate event details, a current itinerary, an appropriate care space, and a designated adult contact who can be reached during care.
4. Rates, fees, and payment
Rates, minimum hours, fees, and payment terms will be shown or provided before you confirm a booking. Unless otherwise stated, NHN has a four-hour minimum for care bookings. Additional costs, such as agreed-upon expenses or applicable platform fees, will be disclosed before confirmation.
Payment must be made according to the instructions and deadlines provided for your booking. Any cancellation, rescheduling, refund, or payment terms specific to your booking will be provided at the time of booking or in your booking confirmation. Please review those terms before confirming.
5. Changes and cancellations
Please contact NHN as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel a booking. Changes are subject to caregiver availability and may affect the booking price. The cancellation and refund terms shown for your booking or in its confirmation will apply.
If a caregiver becomes unavailable, NHN will make reasonable efforts to help identify another available caregiver. A replacement cannot be guaranteed.
6. Family responsibilities
Before care begins, families agree to:
Provide a safe, suitable environment and any supplies needed for care.
Share complete instructions, emergency contacts, and relevant information about each child.
Explain allergies, medications, health conditions, routines, and any special safety considerations.
Be reachable during the booking and arrange for an authorized backup contact.
Obtain any necessary permissions for transportation, outings, or other activities and discuss them with NHN and the caregiver in advance.
Treat caregivers respectfully and communicate any concerns promptly.
Families are responsible for deciding whether a caregiver and the proposed care arrangement meet their needs.
7. Caregiver responsibilities and agency role
Caregivers are expected to follow the agreed care instructions and communicate with the family about the children during the booking. NHN facilitates connections and booking coordination. The specific duties, work arrangement, and responsibilities for a booking should be confirmed with NHN and the caregiver before care begins.
8. Emergencies and concerns
In an emergency, the caregiver or family should contact emergency services as appropriate and notify the other party as soon as possible. For non-emergency concerns about a booking, contact North Hills Nanny LLC directly so we can respond.
9. Website and platform use
You agree to provide truthful, current information and to use the website and booking platform only for lawful purposes. Do not submit information that is misleading, harmful, or unauthorized, or use the platform to interfere with another person’s access to it.
The website and platform may occasionally be unavailable or may change. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features as needed.
10. Privacy
Information submitted through the website or booking platform may be used to respond to inquiries, arrange care, communicate about bookings, and provide NHN services. Please avoid sending sensitive information through unsecured channels when possible. Our Privacy Policy, if posted separately, explains how we handle personal information.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, North Hills Nanny LLC is not responsible for losses arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including a caregiver’s inability to attend, a family’s failure to provide accurate information, or an unsafe condition at a care location. Nothing in these terms limits any rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be limited.
12. Updates to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the website or booking platform after an update means you accept the revised terms.
