Part-Time Family Assistant Needed in O’Hara Township
A warm and fun-loving family of four in O’Hara Township is seeking a reliable, engaging, take initiative type, and caring part-time Family Assistant to join their household. The family has two children: a creative and energetic 3-year-old girl who loves crafts, games, and preschool, and a sweet 10-month-old baby boy who enjoys laughter and watching his big sister play.
Position Details
• Start Date: September 15, 2025
• Schedule:
• Tuesdays: 7:30am-4pm
• Thursdays: 1pm-4pm
• Fridays: 8:00am – 3:30pm
• Hourly Rate: $27–$33/hour, depending on experience
• Hours: Guaranteed minimum of 19 hours per week with opportunity to add more hours in the future
• Location: O’Hara Township
• Pets: One small dog (11 lbs); occasional help letting outside on leash
Responsibilities
• Provide attentive, loving care for both children (3yo is at preschool M,W,F 9am-3pm)
• Engage the children in age-appropriate play, crafts, and activities
• Prepare snacks and simple meals for the children
• Pack preschool lunches for the 3 year old
• Household support when time permits includes:
• Kids’ laundry
• Loading/unloading dishwasher
• Tidying and light cleaning of family/kids’ areas
• Preparing very basic and quick dinner recipes
• Occasional pet care (letting the dog outside on leash)
Family & Parenting Style
The family values creativity, independence, and gentle guidance. They use positive discipline techniques, encourage their daughter to share her feelings, and avoid spanking or raised voices. Both parents work a mix of at-home and in-person schedules, so the Family Assistant should be comfortable collaborating with parents who may be working from home.
Qualifications
• Prior Family Assistant, nanny, or childcare experience with infants and toddlers
• Up-to-date on Flu, COVID, and TDAP vaccines
• Strong communication skills and ability to take initiative

• Safe driving record (use of family car provided if driving is ever needed)
Compensation & Benefits
