Warm & Welcoming Family in Squirrel Hill Seeking Full-Time Summer Nanny

Location: Squirrel Hill – Pittsburgh, PA

Start Date: June 30, 2025 until Mid August

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8hr days Mon- Thurs. 4hr day Fri, Guaranteed 36 Hours/Week

Compensation: $20–$30/hr, depending on experience

Child: 16-month-old

North Hills Nanny LLC. is partnering with a friendly and easygoing family in Squirrel Hill who is seeking a nurturing, reliable, and engaging nanny to care for their toddler daughter this summer. This position runs from late June through mid-August and offers a guaranteed 36 hours per week.

This warm and down-to-earth family values kindness, communication, and creating a calm, respectful home environment—for both their child and their caregiver. They enjoy walks, trips to the park, books, movie nights, and weekend outings when possible. Their parenting style is nurturing and balanced, with an emphasis on positive reinforcement, clear boundaries, and space for independence.

What They're Looking For:

The ideal nanny is kind, dependable, and genuinely loves spending time with young children. This family is seeking someone who is warm, attentive, and engaging—someone with a calm presence, a playful spirit, and a great sense of humor. Strong communication skills, reliability, and a proactive, team-oriented attitude are highly valued. They hope to find a nanny who feels like part of the family and brings positive energy into their home.

Responsibilities Include:

- Providing attentive, loving care to their 16-month-old daughter

- Planning age-appropriate activities to encourage growth and development

- Preparing simple, healthy meals and snacks for their daughter

- Tidying play areas and assisting with child-related clean-up

- Occasionally helping with light household tasks (e.g., dishes, wiping down surfaces)

- Communicating openly with parents and maintaining a collaborative relationship

Requirements:

- Authorization to work in the United States

- Must be at least 18 years old

- Updated Resume

- 3 professional references

- Certified in First Aid, CPR and AED

- At least 3 years of experience in the childcare field (babysitting family does not count)

- Willing to undergo a background check

- A clean social media presence

- Clean driving record

- Education: High School diploma (or equivalent), experience and knowledge of child development or child-related studies preferred

- In person interview with agency owner

- Professional appearance

- Non-smoker

Additional Notes:

- Mom works from home full-time, so comfort working in a home where a parent is present is important

- The family has a friendly Labrador retriever —no pet care required, but dog-friendly applicants only, please

- The family is asking that the candidate have two doses of MMR vaccine OR a positive anti-measles IgG antibody titer OR be born before 1957

This is a fantastic short-term opportunity for a nanny who is warm, organized, and eager to be a supportive part of a caring family this summer.
